I have a 92 Firebird- Automatic- 6cly. I've had a clicking sound intermittingly when I turned the key for a long time but it has always started-Till now- Now no click and there is a buzzing sound under the dash-base of colum area. I think its the ignition switch but I cant find a good Diagram that shows this part. I took my dash panel off down there and it scared me to death Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. It has VATS but the security light goes off after a few blinks and I still have power to everything else and I tried to start it in neutral and still nothing -PLEASE HELP- Ive been looking through the POSTS and cant seem to find this info...THANX

 

ignition switch is on top of the steering column. will have to remove the brackets that hold the column to the dash to access it.
