84 gas in oil
I garaged my 84 camaro for the winter and tried to start it up afew times it would start and run wicked rich.. Then it wouldnt start so i cut the cat and it began to start again... And run really rich. Recently it was 90 and i started it and it idling strong at 800 and was running rich... Anyways... I checked my oil and there is gas in it.. Anyone know what can be causing this.

my 83 did the same thing. The oil was extremely thin because of all the gas. It smelled like gas horible. anyway I did a carb rebuild(set the mixture screws to 2 and 1/2 turns out)and changed the oil. and bam....problem solved. It still didnt run quite right for awhile..besides the fuel problem.. after all it was stored for 2 years. Oh yeah.. I had a flooding problem. there was junk between the needle and seat. from sediments in the fuel.......
its either a misadjusted carb that needs adjustment or rebuild
Rob...
P.S due to the gas thinned oil you might see some blue smoke. That should go away when you change the oil.

His sig mentiones an '88 with TBI, but he was asking about an '84 that was garaged...
Unless he made a typo when he put '84... but I'm guessing they're two different Camaros!
