wut do u think of my combo
well guys i finished my 350 tonight i just need to adjust the valves and shes ready to be droped in. well heres my combo let me know wut u think and some estimated numbers on horse and 1/4 mile. 350 2-bolt one-peice rearmainseal block, s/r 1.94/1.50 heads, comp cams magnum 230/230 duration @.050 480/480 lift, edelbrock performer rpm intake, edelbrcok 750 carb, all rebuilt and bored .060. also i have edelbrock headers,no cat, 3in I-pipe, flowmaster muffler, 3.27 rear. and for ignition i have a summit dist., msd 6a-l box, 45,000 volt coil. and i'm runnin a 3-port mallory fuel press regulator because i switched from TBI. well thanks guys

well i bought the engine off of this guy and if was half together and he had the carb brand new in the box and he threw it in so i am just gonna use it cause i'm 16 and my funds are limited. i had the get the cam,pushrods,lifter, gaskets,bolts, and so much other crap liek 400 bucks worth well actually more and i payed 500 for the engine and well i am just flat broke lol

when I put my engine together it was about the same combo, I have the same cam but I have the older verson with abit more lift (see sig) DON"T change the carb I had a 600 cfm and then a 750 on mine orginally and the 750 ran allot better (the 1000 cfm EFI I have now is allot better -abit expencive though- lets see 506 hp at the flywheel, 20-25 mpg, no hard starting on cold days, great throttel responce- yeah it was worth $2000- next upgrade is a supercharger). it won't pull allot more than a stock 5.7 until you get a set af heads that have 2.02/1.60 valves and high flow #'s also look into getting crane or rodes variable duration lifters, it will help out with idle through mid-range torque (that cam is alittle lumpy)
