Smog pump removed Help!!!!

Today i removed all of my smog pump stuff but i don't know what the plug the stock headers with until i get aftermarket ones. I tried to go NAPA to find a bolt to put it there and by following their chats its a 14mm 1.5 thread but they don't have it !!! so i went every where and cant find anything with those deminsions what should i do. i don't really wanna break those air railings cause i might need them in the future. any responce would be appciated!!

what I would do(and keep in mind I am the ultimate hack) would be to fill the holes with some muffler mender(bondo for the exaust)
then, if you need the holes open again, just drill it out!

i went to a little crappy hardware place with one of the air injection screwins (technical term) and i found a plumbing plug that worked perfectly.

go to Home Depot and get part #: A-737. It's a 1/4" square head plug made by Watts AB. I believe it's in the plumbing/soldering section. they're $1.00 each.

i don't think 1/4 inch will fit will it? i believe that threads are metric, i have an 87 what year is urs

mine is a 86.. they should be the same. the info I read was off a spare for just in case I didn't tighten one good enough and the plug comes out. I forgot where I got the ones that I used a 82 TA that i sold a few months ago but those had an alan head instead of the square head.

not sure of the size plug, but it is a pipe thread...go to your local hardware store!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used 1/4 inch allen plugs. .50 cents each from NAPA.
They actually aren't the exact size but you're not going to hurt the exman. I torqued mine down and have no leaks.

everything worked out with the plugs , but any suggestions on getting that bolt off the head that holds the air tubes in place

If you're talking about the one on the rear of the pass head it should come off easily with a wrench. At least mine did.

Go to the hardware store and look and the brass plumbing connections. For sure they will have something that will work there.
