Will a double roller timing chain set off knock sensor ?
I am hearing rumors that a double roller timing chain will set off a knock sensor.
Also some people say the same for the quiet gear drives (not to change the subject).
But others say these are false acuisations.
So what is the truth?
Thanks.

No, double rollers aren't any noiser than the stock set, quieter if anything. The gear drives (quiet ones) do make a bit more noise than a chain but everyone I've takled to said it hasen't affected their knock sensor. The knock sensor is actually listening for noise in a specific frequency range, the range that detonitation "vibrates" in.

I'm using a double roller, no problem.
I've heard solid lifters will cause the KS grief.
