Well, my alternator went out about an hour and a half away from my house, so we put a new one in. That worked and we got it home. But now when deaccelerating, once the rpm's drop to near idle, the car shuts down. Any ideas? Thanx!

hmm... do the lights flicker before the car dies? is it hard to start? if its doing this then the battery is bad also (alternator doesnt do to well by itself)

Yeah the lights fade out before it dies, but the car starts right back up again with no problem.

CHECK YOUR GROUNDS...had trouble with my charging system for the past two weeks. Ended up replacing both my battery and alternator and making new grounds and adding a huge ground strap to my engine.
