Non third gen- 94 thunderbird

My girlfriend's friend is selling a 94 thunderbird for $800.00
He said i can have it for free. the car is undrivable and needs new head gaskets and a steering column/wheel. The body is in perfect shape. I want to get it and fix it up and maybe sell it later, but any of you guys have experience with these cars and can tell me how hard they are to work on? And if its worth it for me to do this? I don't know any more about the car, but i will find out tonight and i have to make a decision tonight. Thanks a lot.

I heard that the v-6 3.8 fords were very common on blowing the head gaskets. Does this mean that the whole motor is toast or would i just have to replace the gasket and it will be allright?

Yes those 3.8Ls in the MN12 had a problem blowing head gaskets. Just because the head gasket blew, does not mean the engine is toast.

Visit the link below for more info on the MN12.
