Will this hurt anything

Hey all I have a question for ya.......I have removed my TBI for Carb and I am keeping my in tank pump. Is there any problems with me using a constant 12 volt supply switched on when the key come to the on position. I am using the 12v. sending into the stock fuel pump relay and the pump will only run when the key is on. I am also using a return 3 port regulator so its not a dead head regulator.

Thanks

From a safety standpoint, you should have an oil pressure switch in series with the power. With a carb, you should be okay without a timed relay for starting, although you may have to jumper that switch if the bowl is empty to get it started the first time. Or, with an old-style starter solenoid, run a parallel power path from the 2nd terminal.

No all the othe computer stuff have removed some time back, I have just used the computer to run the pump for a few months now and am looking to do away with it all together. The T/C will be the next thing........I think I am going to get the B&M kit for it.

Thanks

I would put a fuel regulator in the fule line, i'm not sure what pressure is its but i'm sure it is over 6 psi for a carb.

Yeah I already have the regulator, I keep mine dialed in at 6psi and it seems to run at its best. I am getting a higher flow rate pump so I may be able to back the pressure down some.
