Valve adjustment...passenger side
Valve adjustment...passenger side
I need to adjust the valaves on the passenger side of my engine.
Can I buy some hose and bypass the heater control valve (?) that sits right on top of the right valve cover?
Also would it hurt the smog pump to run the motor with some piping removed?
This is also in the way on the right side. I would guess this would be fine.
I appreciate your help!
Thanks,
Ernie

Thanks for the reply.
Do you also tie up the heater valve and hoses?
I guess there might be enough free play to do that. Man they look so close to the VC that I think it will be nearly impossible to remove it without doing something drastic with that valve and those hoses.

I'd just remove the heater hose from the throttle body and flip the whole deal up under the pass wiper blade.
You can also tidy up the compartment by running hose up around the radiator. Just watch the belts, zip-tie it real good.
