Distributor Wiring

Here's the deal. Switching to Vacuum advance distrib. to eliminate computer because of the Edelbrock 600. One problem, there are more wires on the oem distributor than are on my Mallory. I assume because some are for the computer? I need help figuring out which ones I need to keep hooked up. Here is what wires I am dealing with:
OEM: 1. C-, brown, hooks from distr. front to cap.
2. GRD, Blk, hooks from distr. front to cap.
3. B+, Red, hooks from distr. front to cap.
4. TACH, white, hooks from car-probably tach- to cap.
5. BAT, hooks from car-probably battery-to cap.
* And there are four wires that hook from a harness to the back of the distributor. colors(brown w/blk stripe, pink w/ wht stripe, white, and blk w/ red stripe)-------could these be the computer wires?? Do I need them?

The Mallory wires are as follows:
1. Red, hooks to ballast resistor 12v side
2. Brown, to engine ground
3. Green, to coil (-) terminal.
I think these 3 wires replace the 1-3 OEM wires. Does B+ on oem mean the same as ballast resistor 12v?

Also I would like to keep my tach wire hooked up so my tach will work.
I know this is a lot of help to ask for, but I really want to get this right. Can anyone help? Thanks a lot

ED,

I contacted Mallory's help website. I didn't find an adapter on their catalog, but their catalog wasn't very impressive. I told them my story, so they will probably know if I need an adapter, and if they have it. I just need to find which wire is my 12v ignition wire. I think mallory can help me with the rest.

-----Anybody with an LG4, 4bbl, out there know what the 4 wires are that plug into the back of the distributor??----- They come from a harness whose wires run into a loom and route through the the pass. side fender.

Thanks for the help.
