Yes, I know that I should go ang look, but it was dark and I couldn't really tell. I think I blew out my water pump last night. Water everywhere, under the car AS WELL AS on top of the engine in a fan-shaped pattern. Likelyhood of it being the waterpump?

 

Thats what my camaro did when the water pump took a dump on me 40 miles from home.

 

Usually the "weep" hole under the bearings in the water pump is the source of the leak.If it's coming from there you might as well get a new pump.

did you smell any coolant burning? I had been driving for a decent time so the engine was good and hot... water pump took a crap and i could smell the coolant burning inside the car (thank ***) so i shut it down real fast. Then i left a puddle. like Rich92RS350 said; if its leaking out that weep hole on the bottom... your screwed. get a new one. They're only like 50 bucks from NAPA around here; full lifetime warranty...
