i've got a car that hasn't been started in 10 years ....

I've got a car that is sitting in my Grandfather's garage that hasn't even been started in the last 10 years. It's got less that 30k miles on it but I don't think anything was ever done to it to prepare it for storage. What do I need to do to get this car running?

I'm pretty clueless where to start. Obviously it needs a new battery, new tires, all fluids changed ... but what else? Has anyone resurected a car from the dead before? Any advice? Where can I find more info about this topic?

What kind of a car is it? If I were you I'd have it towed to a place that can do a complete flush of the radiator, engine, transmission, everything.. Change the power steering fluid, brake fluid, you're looking at roughly 600-700 bucks but it will be well worth it especially when the car has that low mileage.

good chance everything the gas has set in ot touched is in need of a good cleaning or replacing. at the very least i'd change the oil ,squirt some atf or oil in each cylinder and let it set a few days. turn the engine over by hand.

I would also keep an eye on your main seals. A car that has sit for that time may have cracked seals from no lubrication.
