7 Quart Oil pan
7 Quart Oil pan
Does anyone know of a 7 quart oil pan that will work on a 400 small block and not affect the exhaust or anything like that..? If so how much and where can i get it? I looked at summit and jegs but didnt see anything.. im sure a lot of you have 7 quart oil pans help me out here...
i will get out my moroso book when i get home from work and get the part number for the oil pan i used on my 383.....it accepts up to 3.85 stroke with anything but aluminum rods......plus it was only $117 from jegs and $19 for the corresponding moroso pick-up tube. it also comes in an 8 quart version.

Re: 7 Quart Oil pan
Nothing other than factory 5qt pan is going to work with exhaust.
7 quarts is 2 quarts too many on a street car anyway - not worth the exhaust hassle. SBC's been running fine for 50+ years with 5 quarts. The only thing that 2 quarts is gonna get you (besides an exhaust headache) is another $8+ out of wallet when time to change oil.
