weird blower problem

My car's blower started acting really weird today. I was driving along and I turned on the fan to blow through the vent, the air flow was really low, but when I hit the brakes and slowed down the air speed came up to normal. So I sped up and the air speed went right back down. I have been messing around near the controls installing a stereo. It also hisses constantly now instead of just a second or two after being turned on. Seems really weird to me, could I have bumped something on the controls to cause this, or is something else going out?

the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, & Air Conditioning) is all controled by vacumm.. There are vacumm hoses that run behind the dash AND RADIO that run to different parts of the HVAC system, opening and closing the blend door and different things controlling where the air blows out at.. If u disconnect one of these hoses, it will cause things not to work right, and u will here a constant hissing, as well has have a vacumm leak effecting ur engine.. Go back and check all the vacumm hoses behind and under ur stero and dash.. I don't have a picture now, but i can get one if u can't figure it out.. and the reason it changes when u hit the brakes, is ur brakes are vacumm assisted, which means they use vacumm to operate, therefor there is less vacumm in the HVAC lines causing them to do weird things.. Most likley this is ur problem.
