NASCAR style induction
has anyone tried this or have any suggestions on making a NASCAR type induction system.
what i did:
removed snorkel from aircleaner
cut hole on other side so that i have a duel snorkel setup but no snorkels.
i flipped the air cleaner housing backwards and inserted two dryer hoses ....and routed them up inbetween the firewall and the hood.....right in front of the windshield wipers..... it works pretty good..but.................even without the weather stripping....its only a gap about 1 1/2 to 2 inches......
anyone have any suggesstions .... thanx

I think the reason that is not done in a passenger car is because it puts the engine's air intake right next to the HVAC air intake, which will cause fuel vapors from the engine to be drawn into the passenger compartment.
Cowl induction hoods with breathers designed accordingly used to do about the same thing.

I removed my rubber strip and have no poblems with either fumes or water getting on the electrics. Must be good for a BHP!
If you have hood louvers, how about routing the hose there and making them functional?
