I'd go with the 14" it will flow more air. I would think that a 10" wouldn't look as good either.

I would use the 14" as well. If you have the stock F-Body TBI, the nyour air cleaner should only have a single wing nut, just like a carb. Edelbrock part# 1207 will work just fine (autozone sells this one for $25) It is a drop bsae 14X3", so it clears the hood fine. I have this one on my car, and my friend has the exact same one on his 89 Firebird 305TBI.
There is one thing to look for, though, look and see if your stock air cleaner has a sensor in it. This is the IAT (Incoming Air Temperature) Sensor. If it does, the check engine light will come on when you disconnect it, and you must follow the instructions on this page
http://snflupigus.tripod.com/step3.htm
to jump the sensor plug with a 7.5K ohm resistor. If you can't find a 7.5K ohm resistor anywhere, you could use something like two 3.5K ohms, or 2 4K Ohm resistors, just as long as you connect them in series, not paralell, and the sum of the resistors is about 7.5K ohms.

Or you could just punch a hole in the bottom of the air cleaner and leave the IAT sensor installed. Just a thought.
