I kinda bumped it alot getting the passenger side header in. Is this the knock sensor? If so how fragile are these. The little metal prong deal that is sticking up is a little loose. I am not sure if I knocked it loose or if it was always a little loose. I have pics to show what I am talking about.

It's hard to tell what it is. It's looks like it could be the emergency fan turn on switch but its on the opposite side as mine. If its the knock sensor it should have a little platic mushroom thing around it so the connector stays on.

here is a better pic. It has like a blue housing with a half inch or so metal prong that sticks out of it. I thought this was the knock sensor but I may be wrong.
thats for your fans, its a fan switching unit that grounds the wire when it gets to a certain temp. if the wire clips on it and it still turns on the fans then leave it but if u think it will give out anytime just go to the part store and ask for a new fan switch. but if your going to get a new one you might as well get a lower switch that will make you fan turn on at a earlier temp making your engine run cooler.

Phew!
I was afraid it was the knock sensor or something. I will make sure it works but if does go out I will look into that Jet fan switch. By the way, say I did damge it and it didn't work would my fan not come on?

No right now it is not connected, by the pic. And yes your fan will not come on. The pass side is the fan turn on switch. The driver side is the sending unit for your dash. Your knock sensor is right by your starter. Do you have a/c? If you have it but it doesn't work than right now you can just turn on your a/c and it should kick your fan on. Either fix the switch or install a toggle switch like I did. Just don't forget to turn it on!!

Why won't it come on. There is a connection it just won't slide on any further. I don't really know why it won't go on any further. Its not like I had to rip the weather pack off. It came off like any other electrical connection but for some reason when I push it on any further it pushes right back off a bit.

I forgot that the pic is of it not connected. Here is a pic of how far I can get it back on.

Dude, I did that EXACT thing today too. It has like a little blue gasket material on it that looks like it broke off? Whew, I thought I had screwed the pooch.
