What are these wires?

I was looking a little closer at my wiring on my passenger side on the firewall side and I noticed there were 2 connectors that weren't connected to anything. one had a black wire going to it and the other had a orange wire going to it. What are these suppose to connect to and could this be effecting this recent problem I am having with my car? Thank you very much. I will try to get a picture of it if that isn't a good enough description.

Here is the recent problem I have had.

most likely there is one harness for your car and there is soemthing the factory didn't install on your car, so an extra plug. a pic might make it a little easier to guess at.

Isn't the power to the blower a thick purple wire? Could the black wire be a tach lead?

The tach lead is a light brown (no not the brown dist wire over the A/C box) , Are tehy down by the engine or more by the A/C?

Sounds like the underhood light connectors to me. Do you have one of these lights? Is the orange hot at all times? If it is, there is a good chance it is for that light.

My 2 cents say they are the wires to the light then. The wires will still be there even if the light isn't. Just check the orange wire for 12V at all times. I just recently cut my light out, and the wires were where you say they are.

Andy.
