I am trying to order some parts from gmpartsdirect.com but they need the VIN of the type of car they would have been on. So since I am looking for the grill and foglights from a 91-92 Z28,

I need the VIN for one of those cars,

Good luck, I dont think anyone will give you their VIN. Try a junk yard.

 

i've bought a lot of parts over the years and never needed a vin. sounds sort of strange to me. if any one wants to give out there vin i tihnk they've been warned.

 

i'd guess all you need is the first 7 or 8 numbers/letters from a vin to id your car/engine and year of manufactur. if i were going to be giving you a vin i'd e mail it or pm it to you and not post it on the boards.
