I have the crossflow design on my Camaro and I actually like it more than a Flowmaster. But that's my opinion.

O.K. I'll contribute one. After years of playing with various types of metal, ceramic, and glass fiber packed mufflers, I'd stay clear of them unles you don't care about how often you replace them. A few good heavy applications of the throttle and the packing starts to break down. At least that is what has been happening to me since the '70s.

That is supposedly the reason other manufacturers are avoiding the use of packings and using chambered mufflers to reduce the sonic wave impulses, not packing. Flow should not be an issue in either case, unless the chambers are poorly designed and reflect too much sonic energy. The problem is that the sound changes in the packed mufflers and the packing tends to hold moisture and rot out the case faster.

Was this supposed to be in the exhaust forum?

Well to sum it up, those mufflers are crap. They're made by a company who only gives 1 year warranty on their OCR OEM muffler parts They're cheap quality and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
