That is supposedly the reason other manufacturers are avoiding the use of packings and using chambered mufflers to reduce the sonic wave impulses, not packing. Flow should not be an issue in either case, unless the chambers are poorly designed and reflect too much sonic energy. The problem is that the sound changes in the packed mufflers and the packing tends to hold moisture and rot out the case faster.

Well to sum it up, those mufflers are crap. They're made by a company who only gives 1 year warranty on their OCR OEM muffler parts
They're cheap quality and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.
