need drivetrain/tranny help please

Let me give you a background of when problem started, and what I did to try to fix it:

Initial Problem: Creaking under car at transmission.

Action taken: Replaced torque arm bushing & transmission mount with energy suspension pieces

* creaking stopped, but then my current problem replaced it.

The Energy Susp. Trans. mt. was larger than my stock one, so when it was installed, the transmission was raised a little- maybe about an inch or less max, in order to fit the crossmember back on.

New Problems: Hesitation, squeaking or metalish ticking coming from near the transmission( I am pretty sure this is the U-Joint)

squeaking is not constant, but frequent
hesitation is now constant

please help, I must make an hour trip very soon, and I would like to get this fixed before leaving.

I have a 5spd. Brg Wrnr 77mm stock tranny, and stock driveshaft, and bad shocks, if this helps

If I replace the U-Joint, is it just going to go bad again with the transmission mounted higher beacause of the Energy Susp. mount?

What do you guys think I should do??

Thanks in advance

Brett

First of all the box will adjust as the mount conforms, mine did the same thing. I had no noises however. Could very well be a U joint because of the angle change. Drop the shaft and check them. If they are bad they will be sloppy as hell and you will feel them grind as you work them around. If not double check the bell housing bolts, make sure everything is tight.
