car won't start

I tried to start my 89 L98 GTA a couple of days ago, but when I hit the ignition, the dash lights and gauges came on, and I could hear the fuel pump come on but that was it. The starter didn't even engage. The starter and the switch on the column were replaced this weekend, but nothing is happening still. Is it an electrical problem? I am stumped. Any help is appreciated.

I am assuming it is an auto right. Have you checked your neutral safety switch??

yeah, I forgot to mention that my father and I have tinkered with the neutral safety switch too. Still no luck.

Maybe you should try replacing it, unless you know a way to test it. I think maybe a voltmeter might, but not sure exactly how you would do it.

Try new starter enable relay in kick panel, if it has one.

Its in the Kick panel .Drivers side and I believe it has something to do with the VAT if you have one. Relays all wear out after time.
