very wierd starting problem!!!!!PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR OPINION!!!!

Sometimes when I turn my key to start the car it will make 1 click noise. SOmetimes I turn the key and it fires right up, sometimes I will turn it once and click, twice click, but the third time it always starts up. What would cause it to do this, and why when it does do this does it always fire up on the third try. I have never turned it over the third time and it not start. Love to hear your opinion.

I would say your starter solenoid is starting to go bad. As to why it always starts on the third try I have no idea.

Mine has the same starting problem and it started after I changed torque converters so I thought my converter bolts wernt torqued equally. Where is the solinoid located?

The starter solenoid is on top of the starter. Looks like a little "can" attached to the top. You would probably be better off replacing the whole starter instead of just the solenoid.
