wireing up alternator

ok guys i need to know where the wires from the clip that goes into the top of the alternator go cause my alt isn;t chargin my battery and its new and the old one did the same. thanks

Before you go cuttin into your wires I would recommend trying another altenator or take that one to have it checked. I have known many people get a bad altenator straight from the store, I have done it myself. Especially advanced auto, autozone and some places like that. Iwould hate to see you tear into your wiring and have a bad new altenator.

well my old alt was fine but did the same thing and the reason i got a new one was because the but on the front was striped and it scared me so i just replaced it anyways. i knwo it was fine cause it worked on the 305
