3500 rpm at 40 mph in 4th gear?
i think my tach is grossly mistaken. when i cruise at 40 mph in 4th gear (t5, 3.23) my tach reads 3500 rpm. i dont think this is right. the tires are P255 50 r16. can anyone run this through a calculator and see how far off my tach is? thanks guys.

well my tach has some ailment too
but with 3.23s and about a 25" tire, each 1000rpm is about 23mph. So 40 would be about 1700.
mine goes to the peg (7000+ when the motor is only about 5500).

its really only reving to 1700???? holy crap. if thats the truth then when ive been getting on it and shifting at 5500 im really only taking it to around 3000. i really need a new tach.
