Alternator problem solved
Alternator problem solved
I'm sure you's have all read my post regarding all the alternator problems I've been having. Well it's fixed!
I had that damn car to R & S, 3 separate times asking them to check the alternator, something is draining the battery as soon as I shut it off.
They kept telling me it's fine it's putting out 12 volts! You have something else wrong, take it to an electrical shop.
Well, I did yesterday, yup, it's putting out 12 volts alright, however, it's got a bad diode inside!!
Immediately I was on the phone with R & S, I want my money back on this one I said. The guy tells me the alternator was purchased last year. I've been to that shop 3 times this year alone, trying to figure out what the hell was wrong. Thinking I was losing my mind. How frigin frustrating.
Guess what? I take it back today for a refund!!!!

All I have to say is I HATE electrical problems.
I went through similar issue just recently. I was having a starting problem that was associated with my new Optima battery. I thought it was a draining issue but it wasn't. It was a bad battery. It went bad in 6 mo. After going bad it killed the alt. After getting a new alt and checking the system, I got a new battery. Optima's are hard to kill but when they die, they take whatever they can with them.
Glad to hear your fixed now!
