Oil Pressure sending unit

On a '89 Pontiac 2.8 V6, where is the oil pressure sending unit located? There is a device on both sides of the block below the heads that look like a sending unit. One has 3 wires attached, orange, grey, & tan and is on the radiator side. The other has one wire and is on the firewall side.

If i replace the sending unit with an aftermarket unit and gauge, do i have to do anything with the ecm?

Can anyone help?
