Best TC and rockers for the lil 305
Alright guys, what are the best torque converter/stall and rocker arms for my car? I got the little 305 and i'm sticking to it. No need to convince me in getting a 350. 10 yrs from now a 305 will seem even cooler to be running 14's (i hope by then)
. I'd like about the same gas mileage too. I was thinking comp cams 1.6 rockers. I saw them in Summit for $191.95. Sound good? Also i was thinking of getting one of the B&M Tork Master converters. The 2400 sounds pretty good, but it has a 2,300-2,500rpm stall. I think that may be too much. The 2000 has a 1,900-2,100rpm stall. I'll get the one with the appropriate stall. It's only like $30 more for the 2400. Anyone have any of these mods? Thanks a lot for your help guys.

I haven't heard enough good things about B&M lately to risk one of their converters. Talk to Dana at Pro Built, he'll get you on the right track.
The cam and torque converter are a matched set - you need the TC to work well with the cam you have. And, 1.6 rockers are typically a "cheap" way to increase lift without having to get a different cam. In your case, the cam is so mild that it probably wouldn't make a noticeable difference.
A 305 running 14's? Not too big of a deal, really. Mine has 150k miles on the shortblock and tranny, ran the best time listed in the sig last Saturday (8800' equivilent altitude - the correction only takes elevation into account). I drove it to the track in the morning because I left the '57 there overnight; decided to give the Camaro a try, so emptied the trunk, adjusted tire pressures, disconnected the thermovac on the air cleaner, and disconnected the AC so I could use the fan to help cool it down. First run out produced that time.

thanks. What TC would go with my cam, and what kind do you have? What would be a good stall speed? Right now it's the stock 1,500rpms. I wouldn't think i'd need to go much higher.
