MAF problems
1988 2.8l V6 firebird
I know the MAF issue has been beaten to death on this forum and it has helped me quite a bit but I am still stuck(after thinking I fixed it). Anyway replaced the MAF(60$ at O-Reillys) and car finally started ran ok went to store came out went home ran fine, that evening went to store again, started kinda rough then smoothe out came out of store and did what it originally did before just crank over fine but wouldnt start, and when did start would barely idle real rough before dying when I tried to give a little gas. and only code it throws is a 34 and day before it did throw a 33 before I replaced the MAF, going to try replacing both the relays today. any help on any similar type of run fine sit and no-go, sit longer and run fine type scenario is much appreciated, thanx
P.S. whatever happened to good ole twist distr to set timing and make sure you had good plugs and wires on your block of iron days?, LOL

Parts installed
Ok after multiple trips to parts store, I have replaced the ignition control module, air idle control, cap, and rotor and the car still turns over and wont start, the car did stumble and try to start when I doused the throttle body with carb cleaner trying to clean it out(was pretty carboned up, same with the AIC), but it still didnt start and as far as I can tell I am getting fuel and now I cant even get it to start to see if I get a code or anything, but last one I had was the 34(MAF) which was replaced, just trying to figure out what simple little thing could be keeping it from even cranking up so it could die a few seconds later right now, Thanks again
P.S. Just to make sure, on the ICM the 2 wires that go to it are green and yellow, which is positive and which is the neg?, just want to make sure I didnt get them mixed up, we tried both ways with same results so..., and put it back the right way(we are pretty sure)
ok 1 more update, after about 2 1/2 hrs it cranked up after about 3 tries and ran fine/warmed up normal idle etc, came up with code 34 again(MAF)????, turned it off and tried to start once then wouldnt fire up only crank over, thinking about firebombing it, lol
