Car is misfiring/lagging?
I just replaced my radiator (with upgrade 3row), thermostat (HD Stant 195) and hoses yesterday on my 92 Camaro RS 3.1 v6. I took apart the fan shroud and everything to get the radiator out, also I took apart the intake plenums ontop of the manifold with the TB to get at the seized thermostat bolts better.
I put everything back together and my car runs SUPER cool now but I had a small leak in the lines going to the TB so I turned off the car and fixed it. Turned it on and it idled rough, engine was vibrating idling at 1000 RPM and shaking up and down. When I drove it the RPMs were usually higher than supposed to be, and when I would brake sometimes the RPMs would go way up so I had to shift into neutral while the engine raced to 2500-3000 RPMs. Then once I stopped it would crash down to 500 RPMs like it was ready to stall.
We checked for vacumm leaks, found only a leak by the power booster, which helped a little in the idling and the racing when I braked. We could not find any more leaks. I wonder if the throttle cable got screwed up, or the manifold gasket, or the vacuum line behing the manifold that pulled out when we lifted the plenum, we found no leaks back there but who knows.
ANYONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS??? I really dont want to go through the whole car and replace all the vacuum hoses. Or maybe its timing?

OK I got a scan tool from my friend but I had to work today and had little time to try to hook it up, but first off I cant get at the computer. How do you get the driver dash pad off underneath to get at the computer link? I tried pulling on it and it wouldnt pop off. I didnt want to mess with it too much fearing breaking something.
Anyone know how to get this off easily?
Also My buddy has the same problem with his 1988 2.8 camaro. He was told its probably the MAP sensor or the O2 sensor, but I replaced the O2 like a month ago.

You shouldn't need to remove the driver knee pad to get to the connector, just the big plastic cover farther under the dash. If you want to take off the knee pad it is held on with two bolts under round plastic covers that pop off and with three? bolts along the bottom edge. These bolts require a star shaped socket or driver.

My computer isnt down there. I have a Haynes manual which shows where the diagnostic link is supposed to be underneath the instrument panel. My car is missing that panel anyways, but my ECM isn't there. Myself and a friend of mine who knows alot about car mechanics searched both the driver and passenger side the last two days and could not find the link. Any clues on how to find it if it was relocated??? I think the car's first owner had a v8 swapped in it and then put the 6 back in when he sold it to my friend, so the ECM link may have been moved but to where???? we can't find it anywhere.
