305 One piece rear main seal

I tried using a scredriver like the chilton manual said to pry the rear main seal out. It won't just budge. Any suggestions, it is a one piece seal in a 86 305 TPI

What do you use to install the new seal.

thanks for the help

i just drive it out from the back side and drive the new one in with a block of wood. to work it over the crank i have some "special tools" made up for vee seals. an "E" guitar string looped and crimped into a piece of 3/16ths tubeing. makes a great seal persuader and doesn't damage anything.
