What is the best way to change the...
I'm thinking in replacing the valve seals on my car, and I would like to hear some sugestions before I start.
The problem that I have is that my car starts to smoke when is idleing for about 5 minutes, it does not smoke when is running nor when I start it. I hope changing the seals will fix that problem.
Any sugestions will be greatelly apreciated, thanks.

Run compression and leakdown tests before you change the seals. What use is changing good ones when the problem is actually your rings?
I had the same problem. Everyone says about two different things on this board when something goes wrong, "your cat is clogged!" and "your valve seals are bad!" While these are sometimes correct, it isn't nearly as often as said.

Usually valve seals are bad if it smokes when you start it.
Do you have an engine hoist and stand?
