194 castings?

I am looking into purchasing a 350 from a junkyard. I found one and the owner is willing to give me a written guarantee that it runs smoothly and does not smoke. He also says it has the "194 castings with the larger valves." What are 194 heads? Do they exist? Are there any specs? Thank you

Oh yeah...a friend of mine is going to give me his edelbrock performer intake manifold, and i am considering the comp cams 268H grind. With headers, high flow cat, and a 3in catback, will this be a good combo? I am asking because this board taught me that heads/intake/cam matching is key. Thank you again :hail:

Never heard of a late chevy head that has a casting # that ends in 194.

He may just mean they have 1.94" intake valves.
the only way to tell is to remove one of the valve covers and read the numbers between the rockers.

I did a search for 194 heads and a few people had said they have them, but the posts were not about the heads. So i THINK they exist, but could still be wrong. Thanks

Like F-BIRD said, The guy is probably talking about the intake valve diameter. Best to get the casting number and see what they are.

You can go here and see that there are no "194" heads listed.

As said, the guy may have meant 1.94" intake valves. Kind of like we say "Vortec heads" but there are a few different casting numbers on those heads, especially if you include the 305 Vortec.
