desensitizing Knock Sensor can it be done

i put a scan tool on and it says I'm getting knock counts of 220-230.My friend says it's my Crane Gold rockers that the sensor is hearing. Is there a way to desensitize the sensor or is there a different sensor to use.It pulls 15 degrees of timing at WOT. thanks

You can remove the knock senser(watch out for the coolant flow) and put 6 to 8 wraps of teflon tape on the threads and reinstall.

thanks. do you think that will help that much, I had considered puuting a pipe extension on it , to move it away from the block. Thanks again I'll try it

i doubt if your rockers are causing your knock counts, unless you're running the valves wrong when you did the r&r on the rockers. check your base timing, fuel octane. plugs and tune up.
