cam specs?

cam specs is this to much

does anyone know if these cam specs are to much for a 305 valve lift int/exh .447 114 lobe ceneter seperation advertised duration 291 .050 duration int/ext 222
Thanks for any help it is 305 ported and polished heads 650 holley with weiand xcelerator intake stock converter for now. and gears ? stock

That sounds a little like the old 327HP/350 cam specs, which shouldn't be too radical for a 305. You may have a slight decrease in idle quality, but with those relatively moderate durations, it shouldn't be too severe considering the wider LSA. The B4C cars had a 207/213 duration right from the factory, and we all know how conservative the factory is with cam selection.

Thanks it is the 350 hp cam not sure how it would work with the rest of the setup. I have a 650 double pumper and a weinad excelerator intake I know single plain.......I know double pumper on an automatic hey it was cheap I think I would have 2 much induction as someone else stated what do you think still have stock converter but can and will upgrade soon. what do you think

Yes those are the specs for the "151" cam... what a piece of crap. I have never yet seen any motor run really good with that cam. Don't bother.

Look closely: 69° of valves hanging barely cracked open between "zero" (whatever that is in a factory cam) and .050"... a recipe for no low end, poor idle quality, and bad gas mileage. But none of the "big cam" benefits, because the .050" duration is still so mild, and it has no lift. All in all, a pitiful cam.
