Dropping Oil Pressure When Warm

Hi everyone. I have an '88 Camaro with a TBI 305. Ever since I've had it, I've noticed the oil pressure guage is pretty much maxed out when I first start the car. But when it warms up, the needle sits right about in the middle of the guage. Is this normal for the oil pressure to start out that high or should I be making an oppointment with my mechanic?

It's perfectly normal. When the oil heats up, it gets thinner, therefore not causing as much pressure.

Thanks. That's what I figured, but I wanted to be sure.

Much Appreciated
