ac and heater problems
i was wondering if my blower is bad as well as the compressor.
i have 1992 camaro RS 305TBI
i still have the orginal compressor and it was serviced this year and my mechanic said its not gonna make another summer. this is whats happening; during the summer cold air trickles out of the vents and in the winter the heat trickles out and is not so hot its just kinda warm
if you need any more info on my ride just look below
thanx

I have a 91 RS and had some similar issues.
First, accept that you are probably going to need to replace the compressor (assuming the mechanic was competent).
But you should still be getting a good flow of air from your vents even if that is a problem.
Does the airflow increase when you change the fan speed? Can you hear the motor speed up? If you don't hear a change at all, then likely either your switch is bad or the motor is bad. You can test the motor separately (a new one runs about $30) to narrow this down.
There is a good chance that the little vacuum hoses behind the ac/heater panel are kinked and not actuating the doors/valves in your vent system. Mine were and I had to carefully splice in new vacuum hose. A pain. Apparently this is quite common when a new stereo is installed (the back of the radio chassis pushes on the hoses). If this is the problem and you have caught it soon enough, you might solve it by carefully moving those hoses out of the path of the radio.
