is my engine a 305 or 350?

i just bought my car not too long ago and the guy who had it said all he knew was that it is a v-8, i was wondering if there was any way to tell if it is a 305 or a 350, all i know is it has an edelbrock carb on it and it doenst look like the original engine, the original was a 305 but it looks like it was swapped, alot of wires not plugged in and it runs really good for having 160,000 miles on it. and i looked for some numbers or anything on the block but i couldnt find any and i couldnt see far enough down to see any others.

There are numbers towards the back of the driver's side head, though I'm not sure if you can see them.

I don't think someone would drop in a aftermarket, or rebuilt 305 into a car, not when a 350 block is so cheap to build.

not everyone knows the difference between the diff v8 sizes most people jus kno 4 -6-8 cyl and thats it. so if they swap in a runnin engine. they prob jus got the first good runnin v8 and put it in. or had it put in. also with good care a car with 160k can still run good.
i dont understand why when somebody sees over a certain milage it automatically means it must run ****ty.

Ive been in some cars with 50k that ran like **** but a buddy of mine has a grand am with 180k that runs like a top...just depends on how you/previous owners care for them. I can tell you this my new 350 will definetly get oil changes every 3k and only synthetic...
