couple problems
1. after installing my new cam (XE274), i found it a little odd that it can idle at 500 rpm and still get good vaccuum. I thought this cam would need to be higher for proper vaccuum. I'm just wondering if there is something wrong with it.
2. when i start my car up for the first time each day, a lot of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. It goes away though after about 2 minutes and doesn't come back til the next day after it sits over night. It's not cold out either, it's like 70 degrees out. There aren't any abnormal smells coming out of the exhaust though. What's the problem?

You're luckier than some. Nothing wrong with that.
Sounds like typical water vapor condensation. Nothing wrong with that either.
I had that cam for a while in my 400, it gave me no problems either. People loved the way it sounded though: a couple of people described it as sounding like the motor was "angry", like it wanted to jump up out of there and kill something (Mustangs probably)... I rather liked it. It ran pretty hard in the 400.
