Alternator "issues"

Just put a new PS pump and belt on now the alternator stays at about 9-10 volts on highway and goes up to 13v when idling or going very slow. My alternator about to die or si the mew belt just stretching? It is the correct belt and correct PS pump. so thats not it.

Thanks,
David

What car is this? It takes at least couple hundred miles to stretch a belt, but you can always check the tension to see if it stretched. If you have a voltmeter you can check the voltage at the battery and the alt when the guage reads low. You may find that your guage is innaccurate.

uummm, lol

No Voltmeter, just want to know if a fluxuation is normal esp. since the gauge has always been accurate and stayed constantly on 13V/14V before this swap, now it's fluxuating.
