Plug wires...whats the deal?
Plug wires...whats the deal?
Hello
I just wanted to find out if anyone has had the same problem that I have. Every time I go to buy plug wires for an '83 Z28 they are always way to long. Im talking like 2.5 feet to long. I have bought 2 different sets and they are always to long. I have bought a Bosch set and an AC Delco set. I dont want to have to make them myself. Any sugestions?
Thanks

I believe thats because they are supposed to go under the engine. Not over the valve covers.

Your supposed to route them underneath the manifolds (or headers if you've got them.) Hence the wire holders underneath.
Hmmm...sounds like I made a rookie mistake. I put a new engine in it and forgot about the wire holders on the old block That would make sense now wouldn't it. I guess there aren't stupid questions...just stupid people.
