This is really rare ive been in cars since 1996 and i never seen a problem like this ..its a 4bbl 305 automatic from 1982
This are the symptoms :
1 The starter is turning slow ..after the car is hot
2 i changed the battery and it started OK ..then i stopped the car tried to make it run and the starter is slow ...
3 i tried to make ground between pos and neg batt cables and when i put the neg on the positive there is no spark even the batt is charged
i dond know if its timing problem, starter problem,i really dont know
and its makin me crazy ...and the other problem is that i cant hit the pedal to the floor cause i have no answer ...it doesnt accelerate, irt doesnt choke,it does nothing when i press the pedal to the floor(only on cruising..parked it accelerate &$%&$%/ กกกก )

Your exhaust may be heating your starter, maybe a small hole in the exhuast or if you have headers. That will cause starter problems, either try the starter rap or header rap to decrease temps, also probably wanna new starter, to start from fresh.

You might want to try a starter heat shield, they cost about $20 and are good to have anyway.

I agree with these guys, it happens more with headers, but if you still have manifolds, it could happen.

Agree with the starter... The no power on accell is gonna be a carb deal with the 2bbl on your 82 V6... Most common problem with that carb and no power on hard accell is too high a float level.. The secondary's actually draw air in through one of the tubes in the main well compartment of the carb... The other being the mixture control solinoid...

Don't ever connect the battery terminals together!
