spark jumping to block near plugs.. what to check.

I noticed tonight that my missfire is in fact caused by spark jumping to the block at atleast TWO plugs on the passenger side!! but i have taylor 8mm wires with accel shorty header plugs, which both are 6 months new.. so its either the boots aren't pushed on far enough, the wires are burnt right near the plugs, or the insulator is cracked on the plugs. i noticed that those two plugs seem to have alot of dirt or brown\burnt look to the outside of the plugs. unlike all the other ones (haven't pulled them yet though) so im wondering, if i don't see anythign wrong with the wires.. how can i tell if there is something physicaly wrong with the plugs.? like cracked insulator or something? or will it be obvious?

thanks!

Coming from a guy that has burnt about 6 plug wires from headers, pull them off and check for cracks.
