do we have CABIN AIR FILTER

do we have one of those filters that filters the air being pulled into the passenger compartment???? i think i could benefit from it being changed. do we have it? and where is it??

oh and i have a 91 (i hear the became popular mid 80s)

He's right, no we don't. However, if you take off the top of the blower housing, you can see it would be fairly simple to add one.

haha not looking to add one....just figured if i had one it has probably never been changed, and it might make the fan blow harder or freshen up the interior, but since we dont....

With older vehicles (like ThirdGens), it isn't uncommon to have quite an accumulation of debris on the faces of the evaporator and heater core coils. GM had a TSB on several cars that had particularly poor drainage designs and would grow a nice layer of mold across the face of the evaporator, effectively choking air flow to almost nothing. You might want to split your evap case and clean the coil and drains if you have a real flow issue.

That'll help the smell, too.

It's also not quite as critical, but there's a flapper valve in your doorjambs that relate to the interior air circulation "system" you may want to check out.
