Horsepower Guestimate
Horsepower Guestimate
Does anyone know approximately how much horsepower a 86 305 (LG) will produce with 9.6:1 compression pistons, World Chevy Torquer 58cc heads, 1.5 roller tip rockers, Hydraulic Roller Lifters w/ Crane Cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM manifold with holley 650 CFM carb?
best guesses and experiences appreciated.

Car: yy wife, crazy.
Engine: 350, Vortecs, 650DP
Transmission: TH-350
Axle/Gears: 8.5", 3.42
Is that maybe supposed to be 214 on the intake, not 284?
If so..... nevermind. I found the specs.
Duration @ .050: 222°/230°
Lobe Separation: 112°
Gross Lift: .509''/.528''
Here's a pick of the graph..... just make sure you're gonna use headers with that cam. It's gonna need them to breath.

It's Desktop Dyno 2000.
It works fairly well for what it's intended for. You have to realize that these are round about estimates for output, and every dyno pull on DD2000 is under "optimum" conditions.

Cuz, dyno2000 shows flywheel HP,and if you ran the car on a dyno that was RWHP.
