Need help. Car is idling at 2500rpm.
Ok I recently got everything in my sig its all brand new.
My car is idling at 2500rpm in N and P and alittle over 1k in gear.
I put the car in gear and it spins the tire.
I tried adjusting the idle/miture screws and it didnt help any.
Idle screw on the linkage isnt even touching it.

the throttle has to be open.
check for anything touching the linkage.
check to make sure the fast idle cam is not in the on position.
another possibility, perhaps you didnt hook up the linkage from the gas pedal correctly? holding it open?
try this to see:
put car in park. turn car off. disconnect the throttle linkage and TV cable. Basically, disconnect anything connected to the linkage. then start car, if idle is normal, thats your problem.
to fix:if you have an adjustable throttle bracket, no problem, just ajust it, if not, buy an adjustable throttle bracket.

I already check that. even with nothing on the linkage it still does it. ill check the fast idle cam. ill have to look in my holley manual because im not exactly sure what that is. someone on another post said their street avenger did the same thing until they adjusted that.
