no problem to all who needed the carfax. I bought the unlimited carfax reports for 30 days and I have no problem running them for you guys.

 

How this carfax works?Are they keeping track of all the owners or is it between certain time period.Like last 10 years or something.If that's not the case can i say that i'm the third owner of the car?There's only one transfer record of my car.

 

Sorry, but I think this is going to be a dead issue on the boards due to potential liability. You might have to use email to get this done.

Incidentally, it isn't a really good idea to broadcast your VIN all over the world. Others can use it for less-than honorable purposes. I've gone back through the thread and removed the VIN and title information (numbers) for protection against this.

I apologize in advance if that annoys anyone. I absolutely HATE to edit anyone's posts, simply because it is too much censorship. I won't hesitate if someone uses inappropriate or offensive language, since they're just asking for it and violating their agreement to accept the board's terms. However, I'd much rather just delete a post than edit it. To me, changing or misquoting someone's words is a violation of their rights, so I hope you can understand my dillemma. I guess I'm just too fond of the first Amendment to the Constitution. Too bad, shoot me. (See: Second Amendment) If everyone can agree to protect themselves and not broadcast their personal information (like VINs and title munbers) I won't edit them. I didn't ask for, nor never wanted to be a "Big Brother" on the board, and I'm not changing my position now.

As for the exchange of CarFax information, I think there may be forthcoming rules regarding that.
