If at first you don't succeed...

Well, You probably remember me from a couple of weeks ago. I was the unfortunate one to blow an engine in 30 miles. Well she's back up and running thanks to all of you. She purs like a kitten. Just wanted to give you guys an update and thank you for convincing me to do the rebuild again myself. I still need to dress everything up. I drove it to work today and I am having trouble with the clutch linkage. I don't think its anything to serious. We'll see. Here are some pics. Its a 350 .030 over with ported 1.94, 1.60 heads, performer rpm intake, 600 cfm ebelbrock carb, edelbrock cam (can't quit remember the specs) dual flowmasters (original 40 series) headers, bolted to the factory t-5. No emissions. AND NEW ROD BOLTS. I won't make that mistake again.

Don't forget a rubber stopper for your oil hole!
As much fun as it was for us to see your blowed-up-real-good engine, you probably don't want to do it again!
Good luck with this one.

Good work!! I'm glad to hear she's up and running again. Also pleased that you went ahead and gave it another try. I've been in about the same situation, and believe me, there's nothing better than having the satisfaction of knowing you can build the motor, and that you did build it yourself as well.
