120 MPH Top speed....WHY????
The add says it all. Everyone I talk to about this says something different. I have heard it is a servo, computer chip, governor, I have even heard I have to put a toggle switch in the car, and I don't know what else. Does anyone know how to get rid of this problem? I have the 700R4 and stock computer if that helps. 90RS camaro.

There are speed governor on some, not sure the limit for that though.
Even if you remove that, there's still the WOT in 4th problem. The 700R4 will downshift into 3rd at WOT.

Need an aftermarket/custom chip.
I've heard of people installing a switch inline with the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) to trick the computer. Of course, you'll lose your speedometer when the switch is open.
There's some gizmo in the tranny that can be replaced that allows a 3-4 WOT upshift. Police cars have them installed.
Search the tranny board on this site.
