A guy whats to buy my old ones. They are stock heads from the 350 that the prev owner swapped in. They only have 15,000 miles on them, and they have GM castings.

The numbers stamped into the intake side are 898 and the match the last 3 numbers on the 6 or 9 digit string that you can see when you lift the valve covers. the numbers with the letter in front of them end with a 2 so that means 82 or 92.

BTW. Why are some of the valves bright red Only the smaller ones..exhaust)? Sign of overheating? my car did run very hot in the summer.

How much can I get for these? I told the guy to name his price since I didn't need them anymore. 100 would be nice.

And what is a good price to sell an edelbrock performer?

 

They list as 95-98 350 crate motor heads.... no cc's given... probably not particularly good or anything.

Exhaust valves often appear reddish, depending on the fuel the motor has been running on.

$100 is probably OK, if they didn't burn oil (sounds like they didn't).

You can buy a new Performer for like $120. A used one isn't worth a whole lot, maybe $50 to $75.
